Mary W. Walters is the author of Write an Effective Funding Application: A Guide for Researchers and Scholars.


Mary works with academics from all disciplines as a writing consultant and editor on grant applications, journal articles, nominations for awards and fellowships, research profiles and scholarly biographies, web text, and a variety of other communications products. She assists individual writers and artists to develop effective funding applications and helps cultural and non-profit organizations with their grant-writing projects. 

Mary has served as a reviewer for such funding agencies as the Canada Council, Alberta Culture, and the Alberta Foundation for the Literary Arts. She has successfully applied for grants as a writer, editor in chief of a publishing company, and on behalf of numerous non-profit organizations.
